Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Morning:
- Depart from your accommodation in Arusha or nearby area early in the morning, around 6:00 AM, to maximize your time in the park.
- Drive towards Tarangire National Park, which is approximately a 2-3 hour drive from Arusha depending on your exact starting point.
Mid-morning to Afternoon:
- Arrive at the park gate and complete entry formalities.
- Begin your game drive through the park. Tarangire is known for its large herds of elephants and diverse wildlife.
- Stop for a picnic lunch at one of the designated picnic sites within the park, surrounded by the beautiful African wilderness.
Late Afternoon:
- Continue your game drive, exploring different parts of the park.
- Keep an eye out for wildlife such as lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species.
Evening:
- Exit the park before sunset and head to your accommodation near the park for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
Morning:
- Wake up early and have breakfast at your accommodation.
- Depart for Ngorongoro Crater, which is approximately a 2-3 hour drive from Tarangire.
Mid-morning to Afternoon:

- Spend the day exploring the crater floor, which is home to a high concentration of wildlife including the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros).
- Stop for a picnic lunch at one of the designated picnic sites within the crater, surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
Late Afternoon:
- Continue your game drive, maximizing your chances of spotting more wildlife.
- Visit the hippo pool and other notable attractions within the crater.
Evening:
- Ascend from the crater before sunset and begin your journey back to Arusha or your next destination.
- Arrive back at your accommodation by early evening, where you can relax and reflect on your unforgettable safari experience.
